Another video from the series “ManiFesta Digital 22 na Encruzilhada” is now online! This time, we invited the Maranhão-based transdisciplinary artist Tieta Macau to present an audiovisual work reflecting the centenary of the Modern Art Week and the bicentenary of Brazil’s Independence, through the perspective of the stage creator. In this original piece, Tieta showcases her way of composing scenes rooted in popular poetics, with Afro-references as the backdrop. Filmed in historical settings across Maranhão, this “video-manifesto” brings a new dimension to #Diversos22 through the work of this award-winning artist, dedicated to research in theater and dance alongside artists from Maranhão, Bahia, and Ceará.
